What Is Driving Team Performance?

Team performance is the bottom line of teamwork. Driving Team Performance(DTP) is an eight-step method of team operation that facilitates win-win synergy in a high performance, results-oriented work setting. It is a user-friendly team process leading to overall team quality that is highly effective in teaching teams a method they can remember, teach others, and utilize in every team context.

How Does It Work?

Driving Team Performance teaches a powerful team process through team participation where participants learn by doing. Team members order the steps of the process and identify the “go/no go” performance indicators for each of the eight steps. These empower a team with the ability to self-monitor and self-correct the quality and quantity of their work. Individual choice and team choice are contrasted to measure synergy. A colorful 11 X 17 centerfold chart serves as a continual reminder of the process and may be displayed as a poster or carried in a personal notebook for easy reference.

How Driving Team Performance Fits into the Advanced Team System

Driving Team Performance is part of Volume I of the Advanced Team System, a comprehensive guide to teamwork that comprises three volumes. In order to experience the full benefit of the program, you will need to purchase the Volume I Master Facilitator Guide, Driving Team Performance. The Master Facilitator Guide includes the materials you will need to successfully lead a Driving Team Performance workshop and guide a team through a successful meeting. Additional workbooks are available for you to purchase for each member of your team. Volume I also includes the following individual modules:

• Discovering Team Operandi (DTO)
• Making Team Decisions (MTD)

DTP Master Facilitator Guide, Volume I includes an introduction to Volume I and description of the master facilitator’s role; the modules Driving Team Performance, Unifying Team Purpose, Discovering Team Operandi and Making Team Decisions, plus one sample participant workbook for each module; answer sheets; and black and white masters for presentation overheads.

DTP Presentation PowerPoint is a professional, full-color presentation that includes DTP copyright and trademark materials and graphics in an easy-to-use format. Users must sign an end user license agreement.

UTP Participant Workbook is a highly effective tool for the team’s tool kit. For maximum effectiveness, you will need new workbooks each time a team targets its purpose.

MTD Participant Workbook is a 6-page, full-color exercise with scenario and detailed instructions for a highly professional presentation.

Making Team Decisions: The Synergy Star Interactive Version is available as a CD for your Mac or PC. Purchase and install this program on your computer for continuous personal use. The program is licensed and may only be installed on the buyer’s personal computer. Each separate user is required to purchase a separate program. Pricing is available for multiple installations.
